Hi, I'm Edward

Helping students with math is what I do

Tutor maths to succeed

Being a teacher I work to develop in my learners a deep understanding along with self-assurance when answering exam questions and being capable to tackle unfamiliar cases. The base of my theory is the idea that learning occurs in an atmosphere of mutual trust where the scholar is motivated to think and find links for themselves. My experience has been that one-to-one individual training has a distinct benefit to students because of the opportunity to break down the students' personal obstacles to learning in a way which sets the foundations for a lengthy and thorough comprehension of the theme.

Analytic thinking

My approach depends on the child's needs and learning style. My teaching theory is based on encouraging scholars to think on their own, operating real-world situations wherever they can. |I believe that it is extremely important to supply students with a working skills and to develop analytical skills for establishing upon this knowledge. Directing a person to think critically is at the base of things that a scholar must intercept off any subject training.

The role of mentoring

The most lasting contributions a teacher can bring in is training students, and it is a procedure, which I find enjoyable and rewarding. From my experience, I learned the effect of engaging learners through examples and of delivering material at a degree that assumes intellect but not necessarily knowledge, mixing the known with the unknown as a mix which gives the student the sensation of probability rather than that of impossibility that impressive and authoritative ways may enforce.

My teaching tricks

I begin with questions the scholars are good with and step step-by-step to more complex fields seeing that their confidence is being built. I don't ever lecture to children or request them to remember things.

I basically involve test-style as well as recent queries to examine, exercise and improve the student's understanding and capacity. I even give a lot of emphasis to many of the not so much vital but obvious abilities like essay technique and structure, logical thought, and the useful use of graphs and numbers.

More about myself

Choosing maths had not been the dream I've constantly had since being a child, it was at some moment suggested to me during 6th class so after some investigation I knew I was ready. Although I have done well in maths I have actually had to strive really hard and be really established. My inspiration originates from the love and passion I have for the topic. This is something I wish to share with my teaching as well as encourage trainees that you don't have to be naturally clever to do the best in examinations and A levels. You simply have to have a passion for the subject which inspires you, to get your head down and also work hard. Having this positive perspective, improvements could be made quickly which is how I want to enhance my tutee's work with motivation and the idea that they could succeed with concentration and research.
